Messages from afar

Just spoke to a friend from Myanmar on MSN and he was telling me how his visa application was rejected by the Australian Embassy. He felt like a "poor Burmese bastard". It really broke my heart because he was crushed by the rejection and he was going to take his own life, if not for the fact that it's a sin.

He sounded so lost! And says that he doesn't feel God. He's angry that he's been rejected because he "lacks financial capacity". He lamented that he's suppose to be an heir in God's kingdom but man sees him as a poor Burmese dude.

Managed to share some verses and pray with him. To reaffirm his faith and encourage him to continue trusting in our Father.
I'm in turn reaffirming my own faith - to trust DADDY God to provide me with a job (and my nam-pyung.. heh..) soon.

It was good just talking to him. Thank God for technology! I wish I could be there for him though. He has been such an encouraging friend and brother! And his love for people is just so contagious! I feel really bad for him because he really was looking forward to go to Australia to study. And him spending so much money on his visa application and having to endure the humiliation for being poor. I can only imagine what he's going through.
Shared with him Gen 50:20 on God's redeeming power.

Hope he was encouraged and pray that God will show His sovereignty in this situation. =)

** Wanted to upload pictures but my comp's screwed up by some .wmv file I downloaded. Sigh. Think it's infected again.
